Dental Health Check:
We believe in a preventative approach to dental health. The dental health check includes a thorough evaluation of a patient’s oral health, including an examination of the teeth, gums, and other oral tissues. Following the dental health check, the dentist will discuss the findings and provide recommendations for the necessary treatments or preventive measure. It is recommended that you attend us for a dental health check annually. The Dental Health Check is the best preventative care for your teeth and gums.
Tooth Whitening:
With our tooth whitening procedure, you can achieve noticeable results safely, quickly and easily in the comfort of your own home. A special tooth whitening gel is used to highten the shade of your teeth giving you a brighter smile. Our Dentist advises against solutions that can be bought over the internet as illegal solutions can actually cause death of the nerve of the tooth.
Gum Disease:
Our Dentist together with Hygienist, formulate a treatment plan depending on patient needs, for oral hygiene instruction, fine scaling and deep cleaning. Together they assess and decide on the recall interval suitable for each individual patient. They investigate patients dietary habits, social habits, oral hygiene instruction needs and formulate an oral home care plan that is suitable.
Fillings:
Both amalgam fillings and white fillings are provided. Fillings restore lost tooth structure due to decay and broken teeth. White fillings are mostly used nowadays as materials have become better and stronger through research and these are more aesthetically pleasing to the patient. Our Dentist regularly attends dental conferences and hands on courses in order to stay ahead on all the latest developments.
Crowns:
A crown is done when a tooth can no longer be restored with a filling because it is too broken down or if a tooth has poor aesthetics due to discolouration. Our Dentist will assess each case individually and decide what is the most suitable crown for each patient to help create a beautiful smile.
Bridges:
A bridge is done to replace a missing tooth by using the adjactant teeth as supports. They are fixed and do not have to be removed at night. By filling the gap with a bridge, you can avoid the need for dentures.
Veneers:
A veneer as the name implies is used when a tooth is unsightly and discoloured. A very tiny amount of enamel is removed from the front surface and a laboratory constructed porcelain facing is bonded to the tooth. Again depending on the bite, not all patients are suitable for porcelain veneers so Our Dentist carefully selects cases where this can be a successful treatment.
Root Canals:
Root Canal treatment is done when a tooth nerve dies due to decay or trauma.
Orthodontic Treatment
A confident smile that makes the world smile with you. Have you ever wished for a straighter, whiter smile but simply can’t imagine wearing braces? If so, have you heard about Invisalign?
For a smile that transforms your appearance, Our Dental offers Invisalign Tooth Straightening, the easiest and most comfortable way to tidy uneven teeth without anyone ever noticing. You could say Invisalign is all about straightening teeth without braces, as it uses clear aligners that are invisible and are perfect for anyone in the public eye.
We are delighted that Dr Raksha Batajoo Msc. Ortho and Dr Pulina Bodrug MSC Ortho are now providing Invisalign at our Dental. As members of the Invisalign Specialist Orthodontic Group, Dr Batajoo and Dr Bodrgu are up to date with all the latest advances and techniques available with Invisalign to ensure a great result for you.
Why is Invisalign a great choice?
Invisalign is an innovative technology that straightens your teeth with a series of clear customised removable aligners. They are very thin like gum shields in a hard plastic. The aligner, a piece of medical grade plastic, fits over the teeth like a glove fits over a hand. Hardly anyone can tell that you’re wearing them and the aligners can be removed so that you can eat whatever you want during treatment.
Invisalign consists of a series of these aligners which you change every 2 weeks. Little by little your teeth move gently until they are straightened to the final position you feel is right for you.
Are you Suitable for Invisalign?
So what kind of patients are suitable for Invisalign? Most patients are. It is suitable for teenagers, adults, people with crooked teeth, people with spaces between their teeth, suitable for those who have never had braces and for those who have had braces and may have had treatment relapse due to not wearing their retainers. We offer a variety of options to suit the different needs of our patients. So start on the right track today and find out how you can achieve the smile you always wanted. We offer a free consultation to discuss your options and once we have decided and agree on a suitable treatment for you, then the cost will be finalised.
Surgical Implant
Surgical Implant:
If you’ve lost a tooth through an accident or have lost several teeth due to gum disease or dental decay, then implants may be a good option for you to replace your missing teeth.
Are you one of nearly 2 million people in Ireland who have one or more missing teeth? Are you self-conscious about the gap or hate wearing a “plate” to replace one tooth? Maybe you’re missing several teeth and finding it hard to eat and talk comfortably with your dentures. Then a dental implant or a number of dental implants could be the solution for you.
The best thing is to look after your teeth and not to lose your teeth at all. Nowadays with modern prevention techniques and treatment options, you are more likely than ever to keep your teeth. However, sometimes due to bone loss caused by gum disease, or because the tooth has decayed to such an extent that the tooth cannot be repaired, then tooth loss is inevitable. You may also lose teeth through an accident.
Dental implants are used to replace a missing tooth or teeth. The dental implants themselves are small Titanium screws that actually replace the tooth root, and then this root is used to support either the missing tooth or a denture/bridge is screwed into the implant roots.
So to have dental implants placed, you need to have enough bone in order for us to place the dental implant. Sometimes we are able to supplement the bone by adding artificial bone to the site. If you are having one dental implant to replace 1 – 3 teeth then the implant will be placed to hold either a crown or bridge. If you are missing most of your teeth, you will need a number of implants placed, between 4 – 6 on the upper and lower jaw, and then a framework place which will hold your denture or fixed bridge.
